Spring breakfast outfits here – for all who crave sunshine, delicious food, and a chance to embrace a new season’s style! With sunshine streaming in and croissants calling your name, it’s the perfect time to embrace a new season’s style – starting with your breakfast outfit. But breakfast comes with a dress code. It’s like a croissant with a filling. Under the soft layers of flaky pastry, you will find either jam (it’s giving a breakfast at the restaurant/cafeteria/hotel), chocolate (for business breakfast), or … nothing – perfect for a leisurely morning meal in your own garden, channelling the old-money aesthetic. Feeling hungry? Scroll down, pick your spring breakfast outfit and head out.

OGLAS I get a commission for purchases or clicks made through links in this post.

THE BEST SPRING BREAKFAST OUTFITS 2025

Btw, I normally eat at 9 am – starting my day with fruit, green smoothie, bread (in all shapes and compliments), and boiled egg – preferably served in the garden. I just don’t get the breakfast in bed. Do you get out of bed, brush your teeth and then go back to bed to eat your breakfast? Sounds so complicated. I want things to be easy and straightforward – hence all the links under collages for you to shop my looks with merely two to three clicks.

To shop for my spring breakfast outfits simply click the underlined text and a link will take you to the store where I bought that item for myself also. Pov, I normally point you to the exact store where I bought that item. Unless it’s sold out in that online store or if I find all the items that make the outfit in one store. I am doing my best to help you avoid the tariffs, lower the shipping costs, and carbon footprint.

But you know that already. Now, let us finally look at what to wear to breakfast in spring if you are not having your breakfast in the bed.

OLD MONEY CASUAL SPRING BREAKFAST OUTFITS

Breakfast in the garden calls for an upgrade from casual leisure to blue jeans, at the very least.

1 STRIPED BUTTON DOWN WITH BLUE JEANS AND BALLET FLATS

Channel your inner Audrey Hepburn with a classic spring breakfast attire perfect for a refined breakfast at home. A striped button down with blue jeans is the chic old money spring outfit you can easily copy being, an old money or just a girlie lured in the aesthetic. For a touch of modern flair, consider golden ballet flats.

Just picture this: the morning sun pours over you like warm honey. The Lower Garden hums softly. Bees dart between lavender sprigs, and the bee buzz blends with the chime of silverware against porcelain. A breeze carries the scent of spring blooms and the faint, buttery richness of your soft-boiled eggs.

Pale pink petals drift gently to the ground, touching against your hand as you reach for a soft-boiled egg.

The light shifts, golden rays breaking through the tulips in the vase to paint fleeting patterns on the table.

You pick up the tiny silver spoon and tap the egg’s surface lightly, expecting it to yield. It doesn’t. You tap again, a little harder, your brow furrowing as the shell holds firm, defiant in its perfection. The sparrows chirping in the branches above seem to pause, as if watching your small struggle. You laugh softly to yourself, the egg just won't crack.

You try again, and again. The sunlight dances, golden patterns flickering across the table, catching the glass of cucumber-infused water (no wait, it's just natural water) that sparkles like a prism.

Another tap - still nothing.

SHOES: golden ballet flats - OK, forget about my golden ballet flats. They are comfortable and cute, but you will get obsessed with these ballet flats more. And yes, all the shoes from that brand that I have (I have three at the time of writing this) are very comfortable.

SHIRT: white and blue striped cotton shirt - buy here. It’s the most quality shirt. And as a bonus it will transition well into summer when you will be pulling it out of your suitcase before heading straight out to the beach.

JEANS: Sézane brut sexy jeans - buy here. Ps. They are actually modern skinny jeans, but in size they look like straight jeans on me. Perhaps this is the reason why I find them so comfortable. I wear them as if they were sweatpants.

*This combination works beautifully because it is so simple. The seersucker shirt is genuinely practical for spring mornings with its lightweight, breathable texture that keeps you comfortable while appearing perfectly put-together.

I've chosen straight-leg jeans rather than skinny or wide-leg styles because they create that timeless silhouette - neither trying too hard nor appearing too casual. The slightly structured denim provides just enough formality for a family breakfast setting.

What truly elevates this fit are the gold round ballet flats, which introduce a subtle hint of refinement without being ostentatious.

When styling this outfit for yourself, remember that the magic lies in the fit—ensure the button-down is perfectly ironed with just the right amount of relaxed drape, and the jeans should sit at your natural waist without requiring constant adjustment.

2 STRIPED CARDIGAN SWEATER WITH TURN UP SHORTS AND POINTY BALLET FLATS

Or maybe you are up for breakfast at the club today.

You settle into a cushioned wicker chair on the sun-dappled terrace of the club, the air is alive with the buzz of your girlfriends’ laughter and the clink of porcelain teacups. The table before you, adorned with a starched ivory tablecloth, sparkles under the morning sun, and the golden light filters through a trellis draped with climbing jasmine.

The flowers’ sweet, heady fragrance weaves through the breeze, mingling with the coffee, matcha and tea and warm croissants piled high on a silver tray.

Your fingers brush the cool porcelain of your coffee cup as you reach for a slice of peach. But then, your gaze snags on a small coffee stain on the tablecloth, a tiny blemish no larger than a coin, glaring in the sunlight. Should you mention it to the waiter? Let it go?

The terrace pulses with life: waiters glide past with trays of sparkling water, bubbles glinting like tiny stars, while a fountain’s gentle splash weaves through the air. The lawn below stretches out, a lush emerald dotted with white parasols, under a cerulean sky brushed with wispy clouds as your friend Clara leans in, her voice bright. “I’m dreaming of Tuscany this spring - those rolling hills, the vineyards. I have already signed up for a wine tasting tour,” she says.

And yes, this is an announcement for the wine tasting tour outfit edit. But you can figure out what to wear to the vineyard easily - check the winery dress code guide.

Now back to the plot and your outfit for breakfast at the club. Obv you are going all boujee.

SHOES: Aquazzura ballet flats - buy here. They are the most comfortable ballet flats yet. *These are super pretty, too.

CARDIGAN: striped cardigan - shop for similar here. *And it doesn’t come with pockets like mine. Oh, I hate those pockets on my cardigan. They make my cardigan almost impossible to wear as a cardigan sweater. I can’t always tuck it in. *POV I should probably buy this cardigan for myself as well. Or get this one with short sleeves that will transition well into summer paired with a simple tank top.

SHORTS: Sandro Paris tailored shorts - buy here. I bought mine there, too. *I had mine taken in. So take your normal size.

MAKEUP: Gucci mascara - buy here.

*I chose a striped cardigan as the foundational piece for this outfit because we are going for the old money aesthetic and a striped cardigan sweater references nautical and tennis club heritage without being overly literal or costumey.

The striped knit brings a sense of refinement that elevates the entire outfit no matter what you wear it with.

The turn-up shorts maintain a tailored appearance that club settings subtly demand. Notice how I've selected shorts with a higher rise; this intentional choice ensures they look purposeful rather than haphazard.

The pointy ballet flats complete this fit by adding a distinctly feminine flourish that communicates attention to detail. Unlike round-toe flats which can read as more casual, the pointed toe elongates your silhouette and adds a touch of sophistication that signals you understand the unspoken dress code.

When wearing this outfit, keep your accessories minimal - perhaps just a simple gold bracelet or small pearl studs. The pattern of the cardigan already provides visual interest and anything more would be just too much. Also we have a V-chain on the flats.

CASUAL SPRING BREAKFAST OUTFITS

Just because you are still at home (*hotel breakfast outfit is just below), an empty social schedule is not an excuse to have breakfast on a kitchen countertop. Pov cute pyjamas and a pink wrap do call for extended hours of leisure if you are living in a dorm and there is a snowy landscape glistening behind the window curtain. However, it is not. The world is blooming outside. Don't you hear the bees flying around?

3 TURTLENECK TOP WITH BLUE JEANS AND SNEAKERS WITH A HEADBAND

Imagine sunshine streaming through the canopy of leaves overhead, dappling the grass with warmth. A gentle breeze carries the sweet scent of blooming flowers from the nearby rosebush, and the vibrant colors mirror in your eyes. You take a deep breath, filling your lungs with the crisp morning air.

A rooster crows in the distance, a sound that somehow feels both rustic and comforting. A butterfly flits past, and its wings are a kaleidoscope of color in the sunbeams. So pretty, right?

And there is a pastel bouquet of tulips and wildflowers bursts with color on your little garden table, right next to your plate.

You reach for the plate, the sweet scent of the omelette tickling your nose. Not so light and fluffy as normally, but delicious, no cap. You take a bite, and the creamy texture melts on your tongue.

You take your phone to take a snap of your outfit – casual spring fit for a leisurely garden breakfast.

Cap, the soft merino wool of your COS merino wool turtleneck top feels itchy today (someone used the wrong settings when washing it the other day – if you wash it as you are supposed to – it’s not itchy at all), but you like it anyway. The Sézane brut sexy jeans, in chic shade of blue, offer the perfect amount of give for a relaxed feel. And Veja sneakers add a touch of modern chic.

But it’s the headband that makes this outfit fit for a slightly more elevated than casual leisure breakfast dress code.

SHOES: Veja sneakers - buy here.

TOP: COS merino wool turtleneck top - buy here. *Again, it can become itchy if you don’t wash it on the right program. It’s made of merino wool, but it’s from COS, so the quality is not supreme. I think it’s good to wear it on its own (without extra layers) at home. But you might want to layer it up for the outings. In fact, as thin and sheer it is, it makes a perfect base layer for any spring outfit. *Or fall outfit. Remember how I layered it with a blazer in the fall work outfit edit?

BOTTOM: Sézane jeans - buy here. Btw they come with buttons instead of a zip. And that’s just added plus when you are looking for comfort but aren’t desperate enough to wear sweatpants. *My mother’s words. And she is right.

ACCESSORIES: I don't get a commission for your purchase at Boho headwear but I don’t gate jeep either. Špela, the designer, is my friend, so I’m happy to promote her business.

*The lightweight top with the high neckline instantly creates a put-together silhouette even in the most relaxed settings. I specifically chose this peachy-pink shade because it casts a warm, flattering glow near your face, creating that "morning radiance" effect without requiring makeup if you're keeping things casual.

The blue jeans anchor the look with their practicality and timelessness, balancing the feminine energy of the transcendent pink with something very versatile.

White sneakers are non-negotiable here for whatever the rest of your day holds.

What truly elevates this seemingly simple combination is the matching headband. It ties everything together while keeping hair neatly styled with minimal effort.

Giving that elusive balance between comfort and intentionality; you'll feel completely at ease while still experiencing the mood-boosting effects of wearing something that makes you feel polished and prepared for whatever your day brings. Ha and we know it will bring travels.
